Young People Aren’t Pirating Music As Much As Previously Thought


According to a new study from the Cowen Group, young people (18-24 years old) are far more likely to pay for music than older people (45-65+ years old) are. As the chart above shows, people are less likely to pay for music as they age. However, with the progression towards using streaming services like Pandora, or Spotify, the numbers might soon change to reflect that. This could boost revenues for the music industry as a whole.
