Stinkeye is a 3-piece psychedelic-hash rock band from Phoenix, AZ. The members are Andrew Hosley (guitar & vocals), Anthony DeMuro (drums), and Harris Smull (bass guitar). The band’s sound can be described as 60’s psychedelic rock mixed with early 90’s grunge. Major musical influences include Cream, Kyuss, Pink Floyd, and The Sword, as well as bands like Fuzz and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard.

Andrew and Anthony first collided cosmically in the summer of 2015 when Andrew’s previous musical project needed a drummer. After gigging together for a while, Andrew put his project on ice to form Stinkeye with Anthony in the late summer of 2016. Harris joined in 2017. All members are in their early 20’s and have been playing music since their early teenage years.

Currently Stinkeye is gearing up to return to the studio. Once there, recording will begin for an EP. This EP will mark the follow-up to the band’s debut full-length album entitled LLANTERA. Stinkeye will be working with Phoenix based producer and engineer Dylan Thomas. Dylan produced and engineered LLANTERA and has been working closely with the band since October 2016.

In less than a year, Stinkeye has achieved some notable accomplishments. The band has had the pleasure of opening for large touring acts such as Nik Turner’s Hawkwind, Zig Zags, and Brant Bjork of Kyuss. Additionally, Stinkeye also completed a very successful west coast tour, hitting multiple cities in California and Oregon. Also, the song No Spoon has been played 4 times on Alt AZ 93.3, the biggest alternative rock station in Phoenix, AZ. Alt AZ radio personality Mo describes Stinkeye as “Beck meets Nirvana meets Primus.” Last but not least, Stinkeye recently signed a non-exclusive record contract with Milwaukee Junction Records, an independent record label based out of Detroit, MI! You can find Stinkeye at The Battle for Dia De Los ALT at Pub Rock Live Sept. 8th and on Facebook and Instagram . Check out their song “No Spoon” below!
