Spider-Man Co-Creator Steve Ditko Passes Away at Age 90

While never one to take up the spotlight, Steve Ditko was instrumental in bringing everyone’s favorite web-slinger and many other heroes to life. In the process and renaissance that was the early days of super hero comics, Ditko was one of the biggest names when it came illustrations and panel layout. Without a doubt, his most recognizable work was with Spider-Man, but Ditko also worked on other comic’s illustrations, like with Green Lantern, and the Hulk. Ditko also had a hand in creating numerous other characters that would go on to have various roles, like Green Goblin, Gwen Stacy, and “The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl?”.

For someone so reserved, Ditko has been able to impact the lives of millions with his work, and while many of us may not have know his name or his story, Ditko has left an incredible impression that the Comics industry will sadly be without. We may not always see all the people that come together to create a project, but they are all still equally important and respected.
