Ant-Man and the Wasp to have 70 Million Dollar Opening This Weekend

(Insert joke about big numbers for a small hero) As the first Marvel movie to release after Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man and the Wasp looks to be proof that audiences are fully immersed in everything that Marvel touches. What is now Marvel’s 20th film, AMatW is sizing up to have a substantial 70-75 million dollar Opening Weekend, which while obviously not their best, still is respectable.

This film also marks an era shift for Marvel movies for a while, as now any films released in the next few years will have the Avengers saga hanging over their head, both because of the financial success from Disney and Marvel’s point of view, but also for the consequences that come from Infinity War and the like. AMatW also appears as a much needed comedic film, to balance out some of the seriousness of other recent productions by Marvel. Long story short, looks like Marvel and Disney have another success on their hands!
