Andrew McMahon has announced his debut memoir.

The book, titled Three Pianos, is due out October 26. It finds the “Cecilia and the Satellite” singer telling the story of his life “through the lens of his personal connection to three pianos.”

“This is not a book about the music I have made,” McMahon says. “It is about how that music and the pianos I have called friends have helped me to make sense of the world. It is a story about family, disease, love and the hunger to be heard.”

Meanwhile, McMahon is also working on new music. His most recent album is 2018’s Upside Down Flowers, recorded with his In the Wilderness solo project.
