Avril Lavigne has premiered an acoustic version of “Bite Me,” her debut single with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker‘s label DTA Records.
The unplugged recording is accompanied by a video directed by Lavigne’s “Flames” collaborator Mod Sun. The clip begins with a dentist — played by Goldfinger front man and pop-punk producer extraordinaire John Feldmann — leaving his patient alone while under sedation. Enter: Avril with bolt cutters.
You can probably imagine what happens next, but you can watch the video for yourself streaming now on YouTube.
The original, electric “Bite Me” premiered in November. Lavigne and Barker will perform the song, as well as her classic “Sk8er Boi,” on the Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2022 ABC special.
Mod, meanwhile, just released a video for his Travis Barker collaboration, “Down.” The clip, streaming now on YouTube, features footage from Mod’s recent tour in support of his new album, Internet Killed the Rockstar.
