Bastille has premiered the video for the group’s new single, “survivin’.”
The animated clip follows a normal guy who’s suddenly taken on an otherworldly adventure. You can watch it now streaming on YouTube.
“Overall, I wanted to give the video a grand feel, almost like it belongs on the big screen,” says director Reza Dolatabadi. “For that we had to build a city in 3D, lock all the camera angles and movements and then animate our characters over the 3D layouts.”
“Animation is a teamwork,” the director adds. “I have to say I’ve been so lucky to work with an incredible team of artists from all over the world on this project. Without their dedication and attention to details, there was no way I could have finished this ambitious piece.”
“Survivin'” dropped in September. It followed the surprise July release of the single “WHAT YOU GONNA DO???” featuring Blur‘s Graham Coxon.
Bastille’s most recent album is 2019’s Doom Days.
