Wesylynn Sedona band Pic

Founded in fall of 2013, the band WESLYNN was formed when three Arizona State University schoolmates and long-time friends Jared Geyer, Greg Olin, and Kevin Holmes decided to start making music together in a bedroom in Ahwatukee, a suburb of Phoenix, AZ. They quickly gained a fan base in their hometown while playing coffee shops, cover gigs, and releasing original home recordings online for free. The following year, WESLYNN’s first professionally produced five-track EP titled Dark Days garnered a positive response from faithful fans and new listeners alike. The album was engineered and produced by Nashville recording artist, David Dreas (Aliza Carter Band, Fides, Sam Pinkerton).

In February 2015, WESLYNN released the single “What Went Wrong”. In a statement to Cronkite News at ASU they said, “Everything we have been through has brought us closer together. We have individually had so many personal trials, but when we start playing music, it all fades away. The world is constantly changing and throwing tragedy into our lives, but WESLYNN has given us the opportunity to rally around each other and made us even closer friends. This music is a direct response to those hard times of love and loss.”

WESLYNN’s sophomore five-song EP, Black & Champagne, was recorded with producer and engineer Dan Parker (Kenny Holland, The Summer Set, Wild Earth) in spring of 2016, followed by a new single “Here To Stay”. Hearkening back to the golden age of doo wop and early rock and roll, “Here To Stay” puts a modern indie rock twist on nostalgia inducing classic guitar riffs layered with velvety, melodic vocals. The band draws their inspiration from musicians like Augustana, The Rolling Stones, John Mayer, The Beatles, and Queen; blending their fresh sound and classic rock style. With smooth vocals, haunting harmonies and grooving guitar vibes, WESLYNN’s music reaches people of all ages. The band continues to focus on writing new material and is excited to keep sharing their music with fans all over the world. You can connect with Weslynn on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Nothing On The Moon, a 4 piece indie fuzzed, groove rock, sax band began as a last resort in a small house in downtown Mesa, Arizona. Brandon Simoes (Guitar/ Vocals) and Joey Wilson (Drums) conceived the group from the ashes of fallen projects with bass player and best friend, Mason White, who can be caught frequently without shoes and a four string in hand. Not long after their jams began, the band was then accompanied by Richelle Heinauer (Saxophone/Keyboards), creating a fresh dynamic on stage. In October 2015 the band released their debut EP “Till The Sun Comes Up” and are currently recording their sophomore release. You can find NOTM on Facebook and Instagram and don’t forget to preview their song “Work It Out” below, then cast your vote at the bottom of the page.
