CHVRCHES has announced a new album called Screen Violence.
The fourth studio effort from the Scottish trio will arrive August 27. It includes the previously released single “He Said She Said,” plus a brand-new track called “How Not to Drown” featuring The Cure‘s Robert Smith.
“I think for me it was helpful to go into the process with the idea that I could write something escapist almost,” says frontwoman Lauren Mayberry of Screen Violence. “That felt freeing initially, to have concepts and stories to weave your own feelings and experiences through but in the end, all the lyrics were definitely still personal.”
Along with the album news, CHVRCHES has also announced the Screen Violence U.S. tour, set to kick off November 9 in Houston. Tickets go on sale next Friday, June 11, at 10 a.m. local time.
