Travis Barker is open to a Blink-182 reunion with Tom DeLonge.
Speaking with Rolling Stone about the potential return of Blink’s former guitarist/UFO enthusiast, who left the group in 2015, Barker declares, “Never say never.”
“I talk to Tom all the time,” Barker shares. “We send funny texts and stuff. The times of bad blood and the misunderstandings between us are so over with. It’s all love.”
“We all three talk, and we’re all friends,” he adds, referring to himself, DeLonge and bassist/vocalist Mark Hoppus. “So, yeah, I will never say never. I think if the time was right and it just made sense.”
Rolling Stone notes that the interview with Barker took place before Hoppus revealed he’d been diagnosed with cancer last week.
Meanwhile, Barker shares that Blink is aiming to record a new album in 2022, their third with Alkaline Trio frontman Matt Skiba in place of DeLonge.
“I want to spend the right amount of time on the Blink album and make sure it’s one of the best pieces of work we’ve ever done,” Barker says.
