A new Damon Albarn solo album is in the works.
That news was revealed in an announcement that the Blur and Gorillaz frontman has signed a new deal with the label Transgressive Records.
“Albarn has recently put the finishing touches to his much-anticipated, second solo album, full details for which will be released soon,” a press release reads.
Albarn released his debut solo album, Everyday Robots, in 2014 with the label Parlophone.
As for all Albarn’s many other projects, Gorillaz released a new record called Song Machine, Season One: Strange Timez last October, marking the cartoon band’s third album in four years. Blur’s most recent album is their 2015 comeback effort The Magic Whip.
