Chino Moreno‘s Deftones side project Crosses has released two new songs, “Protection” and “Initiation.”
The tracks mark the first original music from the duo, which also includes producer/multi-instrumentalist Shaun Lopez, to follow their 2014 self-titled debut album.
Since then, Crosses has released a number of covers, including a 2021 rendition of the Q Lazzarus track “Goodbye Horses,” aka the Silence of the Lambs song.

Deftones, meanwhile, is preparing to hit the road in April in support of the band’s 2020 album, Ohms. It’ll be their first live run following longtime bassist Sergio Vega‘s departure from the group due to a contract dispute.
