Hayley Williams fans have fallen into an online rabbit hole over the last week looking for clues about new music, and a new post from the Paramore frontwoman seems to confirm some theories.
The scavenger hunt started when it was noticed that HayleyWilliams.com redirects to the site FlowersforVases.com with an audio clip featuring an acoustic guitar and a dog barking. Additionally, Williams sent select fans a mysterious package that included disembodied doll parts, along with a message that reads, “Plant me.”
That now brings us to Williams’ new post, which features a drawing depicting someone’s hand being cut off at the wrist with a saw.
“Don’t give me the tourniquet,” the caption reads, cryptically.
While nothing official has been announced, fans are hypothesizing that Williams is gearing up to release a new solo album called Flowers for Vases, the follow-up to her 2020 debut, Petals for Armor.
Williams has also teased recently that she was working on “my folklore,” hinting that she might be recording a folk-y, acoustic-driven record akin to Taylor Swift‘s 2020 surprise album.
Stay tuned.
