Evanescence is launching a graphic novel series called Echoes from the Void.
In each of its five issues, Echoes from the Void will tell original stories based on songs from the Evanescence catalog, accompanied by fantasy-style visuals. The first installment, due out in June, will include tales inspired by “Better Without You” and “Wasted on You,” two tracks from Evanescence’s upcoming album, The Bitter Truth.
“I am so excited about this project series,” says frontwoman Amy Lee. “The possibilities are endless.”
“Collaborating across art forms like this is so unique, and it’s been fascinating to see how many different lives a song can have, like alternate realities,” she continues. “I look forward to working on this throughout the year and am so honored to break open this new world for our music.”
Echoes from the Void will be published by Incendium, and will include work from writers and artists including Abigail Larson, Carrie Lee South, Blake Northcott and Kelly McKernan. You can pre-order the first issue now via Incendium.online.
The Bitter Truth, Evanescence’s first all-original album in 10 years, arrives March 26.
