Faith No More and the Shinedown side project Smith & Myers have announced show cancellations.

The “Epic” rockers will no longer play their scheduled 2022 tour of Australia, New Zealand and Europe due to “our current challenges,” presumably referring to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“To play at anything less than 100% after so long is not an option for us,” FNM writes in an Instagram post. “We apologize to all of you ticket holders, and are forever grateful to our fans for your support and understanding.”

Faith No More previously canceled a batch of U.S. dates this past September so that frontman Mike Patton could care for his mental health. Patton’s band Mr. Bungle also canceled shows.

Meanwhile, Brent Smith, who makes up half of Smith & Myers alongside Shinedown band mate Zach Myers, announced the cancellation of the duo’s show in Philadelphia Thursday night due to what he says is a non-COVID illness.

“I know that there is speculation online that I might have tested positive for COVID-19…That is NOT the case,” Smith writes on his Instagram. “I have tested multiple times, and I am negative. I have a combination of strep throat, and a pretty gnarly sinus infection, and as much as I hate to admit this I would not be able to give you my 100% tonight.”

Smith & Myers are expected to return to the stage this Saturday, December 11, in Rochester, New York.
