Finneas has collaborated with British band Until the Ribbon Breaks to create a remix for his single “What They’ll Say About Us.”
The reworked track adds new production and samples to amplify the message of its lyrics, which Finneas wrote after participating in a Black Lives Matter protest last summer. It was also written in response to the death of Broadway performer Nick Cordero, who died last year at age 41 of complications from COVID-19.
The original “What They’ll Say About Us” premiered last fall.
Once you’re done listening to the remix, you can watch Finneas in The World’s a Little Blurry, the new documentary about his sister and collaborator, Billie Eilish.
“The Doc is one of those things that chokes me up if I watch literally any of it,” Finneas tweeted upon the film’s premiere Friday morning. “But I am so glad it is yours and I am so glad that for the rest of my life, I will have this time capsule of my family to look back on.”
He added, “Hope it makes you feel as important to us as you are.”
The World’s a Little Blurry is streaming now via Apple TV+.
