Artists including Foo Fighters, Rise Against and Radiohead have personally designed bikes as part of an initiative to raise money for Crew Nation, which benefits live music crew members affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The bikes were created in collaboration with the company Brompton, a London-based manufacturer known for its folding bike design.

“Our road crew are our family and we rely on them to bring you the show we play in your town,” says Rise Against frontman Tim McIlrath. “While some of the gears of industry kept moving this last year, the live music industry ground to a complete stop and has yet to meaningfully resume.”

“Consequently, our crew and the road crews around the world have been unable to do their respective jobs,” he continues. “We’re all very thankful that Crew Nation has stepped in to help bridge the gap until the lights come back on.”

Other artists who’ve designed bikes for the campaign include Phoebe Bridgers, Dinosaur Jr. and LCD Soundsystem.

The bikes will be up for auction from May 28 to June 12 via the site GreenhouseAuctions.net.
