Foo Fighters, Tame Impala, Billie Eilish & more nominated for Brit Awards

Foo Fighters, Tame Impala and Billie Eilish are among the nominees for the 2021 Brit Awards, the U.K.’s equivalent of the Grammys.

Dave Grohl and company will compete in the International Group category, which they’ve won four times previously. HAIM and Run the Jewels are also nominated for International Group, as well as K-pop sensation BTS and post-punk band Fontaines D.C.

Tame Impala, aka Australian musician Kevin Parker, is up for the International Male Solo Artist prize, as is Bruce Springsteen. Their competition includes The Weeknd, Childish Gambino and Burna Boy.

Eilish is nominated in the International Female Solo Artist category alongside Taylor Swift, Cardi B, Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande. The “bad guy” singer previously won that title at the 2020 ceremony, during which she also gave her James Bond song “No Time to Die” its live debut.

Other nominees this year include Biffy Clyro and The 1975 for British Group, and Yungblud for British Male Solo Artist.

The 2021 Brit Awards will take place May 11. Visit Brits.co.uk for more info.
