Grandson has announced the details of his debut album.

The first full-length effort from the “Blood//Water” rocker is called Death of an Optimist, and will arrive on December 4.

“It is both an origin story and an obituary navigating hope, anxiety and the state of optimism in 2020,” grandson explains.

Along with the album announcement, grandson also dropped a new song called “Dirty.” It follows the previously released Optimist songs “Identity” and “Riptide.”

Death of an Optimist follows grandson’s A Modern Tragedy EP trilogy.
