Following a mysterious teaser, Greta Van Fleet has indeed premiered the video for “Age of Machine,” a track off the band’s upcoming sophomore album, The Battle at Garden’s Gate.

The seven-minute clip bounces between scenes of the band members being kept in some sort of scientific facility, cut with footage of the foursome preparing to perform an elaborate art heist.

A press release declares, “The video addresses the crumbling beauty around us, but leaves the final significance to the viewer — whether that narrative be focused on climate, industrialism, intimacy, self confidence, tradition, humanity itself, or otherwise.”

“The only clear concept in the video is that the band chooses life,” the statement adds.

You can watch the “Age of Machine” video streaming now on YouTube.

The Battle at Garden’s Gate, the follow-up to 2018’s Anthem of the Peaceful Army, is due out April 16, 2021. It also includes the lead single, “My Way, Soon.”
