HAIM has released a new song called “Feel the Thunder.”
The track, which was recorded for the new animated film The Croods: A New Age, was inspired by its producer and co-writer Ariel Rechtshaid‘s love for Guns N’ Roses.
“He’s obsessed with them — he went and saw them on their most recent tour a bunch of times,” Danielle Haim tells Rolling Stone regarding Rechtshaid’s GN’R fandom. “And so I figured that that’s what we were looking for. We were like, ‘Let’s get Ariel.’ But I’d never tried to make music like that before, so it was fully like a crazy experiment.”
Indeed, “Feel the Thunder,” boasts a riff that wouldn’t sound out of place on Appetite for Destruction. It even includes the lyric “bring you down to your knees,” though it’s sadly not preceded with an Axl Rose “shun n-n-n-n.”

HAIM released their new album, Women in Music Pt. III, in June.
