HAIM is composing original music for The Witch Boy, an upcoming animated musical film premiering on Netflix.

The Witch Boy is based on the fantasy graphic novel series of the same name created by Molly Knox Ostertag. It’ll be directed by Minkyu Lee, whose animation work can be seen in Winnie the Pooh and The Princess
and the Frog, as well Dear Basketball, which won the late Kobe Bryant an Oscar.

HAIM does have experience in the realm of animated movie music — they released new song called “Feel the Thunder” for the film The Croods: A New Age this past November.

In other HAIM news, the band broke down their song “Summer Girl” during the latest episode of the Song Exploder podcast.

“Summer Girl” is a track off the sister trio’s new album Women in Music Pt. III, which was released last summer.
