Hayley Williams didn’t receive any Grammy nominations for her debut solo album Petals for Armor, and while a number of fans seem upset, the Paramore frontwoman remains unbothered.

“Stop sending me sorry’s for not getting a nom LOL,” Williams tweeted Tuesday after the 2021 nominations were announced. “Pmore [has] been nominated lots and even won. Thank you for your sweetness but stop!”

Instead, Williams is much more excited about the number of female artists nominated in rock and alternative categories. The field for Best Rock Performance, for example, is made up of entirely female-fronted acts for the first time in the award’s history.

“The women leading the rock and alt nom’s are THE story and the moment,” Williams said.

The “Simmer” singer added that she’s especially happy about indie folk band Big Thief‘s nominations for their song “Not,” which will compete for both Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song.

“The fact that Big Thief is on this list is a massive moment for any up and coming rock bands/artists,” Williams wrote. “It’s not just about who plays the biggest shows, who has the hottest tiktok…it truly CAN be about the music & the heart.”
