Soooo much to look forward to with the new FINAL FANTASY XV game, which is being released out into the world Sept. 30th. But I gotta be honest, I wasn’t expecting to hear Florence Welch from Florence + The Machine do a cover of Ben E. King’s “Stand By Me”. But it’s sooo good! “I’ve always seen Final Fantasy as mythical, beautiful and epic,” said Florence Welch in a statement found on Pitchfork. “‘Stand by Me’ is one of the greatest songs probably of all time and you can’t really improve on it, you just have to make it your own. For me it was just about bringing the song into the world of Florence and the Machine and the world of Final Fantasy.” Check out the trailer and her announcement of covering “Stand By Me” below!
