Incubus’ Brandon Boyd releases new solo song, “A Better Universe”

Incubus frontman Brandon Boyd has released a new solo song called “A Better Universe.”

The eerie track — which finds Boyd singing, “It’s a better universe without you in it” — is available now via digital outlets. An accompanying, animated video is streaming now on YouTube.

“A Better Universe” will appear on Boyd’s upcoming solo album Echoes & Cocoons, the sophomore follow-up to his 2010 debut The Wild TrapezeEchoes & Cocoons, which also includes the previously released songs “Pocket Knife,” “Dime in My Dryer” and “Petrichor,” drops March 11.

You can also hear Boyd sing on AWOLNATION‘s recently released cover of the Scorpions hit “Wind of Change.” The recording features Portugal. the Man, as well.

Incubus, meanwhile, is preparing for a U.S. headlining tour, kicking off in March.
