Jared Leto‘s superhero movie has been delayed once again.
Morbius, starring the Oscar-winner and Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman, will now open January 21, 2022. The movie’s release date has now been moved nearly half-a-dozen times from its original July 10, 2020 opening.
The film was first shifted to July 31, 2020, and was then delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic to March 19, 2021. Subsequently, it moved to October 8, 2021, and now to next year.
Morbius is part of a shared universe of Spider-Man-related films, and features Leto as Michael Morbius, a scientist whose attempts to cure himself of a rare blood disease but instead turns himself into a vampire.
Regarding Leto’s other, non-acting job, 30 Second to Mars’ most recent album was 2018’s America.
