Jimmy Eat World is the latest band to get the comic book treatment.

Jim Adkins and company have teamed up with Z2 Comics to release Jimmy Eat World: 555, a new graphic novel based on “The Middle” group’s sci-fi video for their song “555.”

555 was co-written by Adkins and writer Alex Paknadel, and was illustrated by Koren Shadmi.

“There was a fair bit of world-building around the characters for the ‘555’ music video and it felt too interesting to end the story there,” Adkins says. “It screamed for a comic adaption. I gave Alex Paknadel the basics of the character backstories and he was able to conceptualize an amazing world that Koren Shadmi perfectly illustrated.”

You can pre-order Jimmy Eat World: 555 now via Z2Comics.com. While you’re there, you can also check out the publisher’s collaborations with artists including Machine Gun Kelly, Yungblud, Gorillaz, All Time Low and Sublime, among others.

The song “555” appears on Jimmy Eat World’s most recent album, 2019’s Surviving.
