Judah & the Lion has premiered a new single called “Spirit.”

The track, which you can download now via digital outlets, hopes to inspire a feeling of hope amid a very tough year.

“2020. A season of pain, heartache, and unrest,” says frontman Judah Akers. “Our hope is that ‘Spirit’ will help those listening to move forward and push through this season, TOGETHER.”

He adds, “Most iconic stories and songs don’t start with everything being perfect, but rather the story comes from the pain and the tension between moving forward and allowing the pain to become your super power in life.”

“Spirit” will also be included on an upcoming vinyl EP, which also features the other two new songs Judah released this year — “Beautiful Anyway” and “Never Give Up on You” — as well as several acoustic performances and a cover of Sheryl Crow‘s “Soak Up the Sun.”

Judah & the Lion’s most recent album is 2019’s Pep Talks.
