Kaleo is looking forward to “new music and new adventures” in 2021.
Like many artists, the Icelandic band’s 2020 plans were altered due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They were supposed to release their new album, Surface Sounds, in June, but the record, along with the scheduled tour behind it, has been delayed to a yet-announced date.
“Wishing all a happy holidays near and far and hope everyone is staying safe and healthy,” says frontman JJ Julius Son. “It’s been a challenging year for all.”
“We appreciate the patience and the support from everyone and look forward to a new year filled with new music and new adventures,” he adds.
Surface Sounds is the follow-up to 2016’s A/B, which spawned the singles “Way Down We Go,” “No Good” and “All the Pretty Girls.” It’ll include the previously released songs “Break My Baby,” “I Want More,” “Alter Ego” and “Backbone.”
