Kings of Leon are kicking off 2021 with some new tunes.

The “Use Somebody” rockers spent the first weekend of the New Year teasing a batch of new material. On their Twitter, they shared teaser of songs called “Must Catch the Bandit” and “Feel the Way You Do,” which are both set to arrive this Thursday, January 7.

KoL also shared snippets of tracks titled “Dancing in Your Head” and “Spin It Like We Can.” While those tunes aren’t accompanied by release dates, they are captioned by cryptic eye emojis.

The upcoming songs will arrive nearly a year after the Kings updated their social media bio with the phrase “The W8 is nearly over,” suggesting the announcement of the group’s eighth studio album. Of course, 2020 was, let’s say, a strange year, so it’s easier forgive the extra long “W8.”

Kings of Leon did release a new song last March called “Going Nowhere.” The band’s most recent album is 2016’s Walls, which spawned the singles “Waste a Moment” and “Reverend.”
