Lana Del Rey has set a new Billboard chart record.

The “Summertime Sadness” singer’s latest album, Blue Banisters, is her sixth number-one on the Alternative Albums chart, the most ever for a single artist since Billboard started that particular ranking in 2007.

Del Rey had previously been tied with Foo Fighters and Coldplay for the most Alternative Albums leaders, but Blue Banisters‘ debut now gives her sole possession of the record.

Blue Banisters is Del Rey’s eighth studio album, and second of 2021, following March’s Chemtrails over the Country Club, which also hit number one on Alternative Albums. Both records also debuted in the top 10 on the all-genre Billboard 200.
