Linkin Park has relaunched the band’s website in apparent preparation for the upcoming 20th anniversary of Hybrid Theory.
If you go to LinkinPark.com, you’ll find a retro, 2000s-era web browser with a Hybrid Theory background that may fill you with nostalgia or make you feel very, very old. If you click on the icon that says “MailNet Client,” you’ll find a conversation with the LP band members about a “secret project.”
“I’m starting to go through our old gear to see what I can dig up for the secret project we spoke about,” reads a message from vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Mike Shinoda. “Hoping I can find some good stuff in there.”
The diamond-certified Hybrid Theory was released October 24, 2000. It spawned the hit singles “In the End,” “Crawling,” “One Step Closer” and “Papercut.”
Shinoda previously told ABC Audio that he wanted to have a “big party” to mark Hybrid Theory‘s 20th anniversary.
