Mod Sun has released an acoustic version of “Flames,” his collaborative single with Avril Lavigne.

The unplugged version replaces the pop-punk palm mutes with acoustic strumming and piano, though Mod’s voice keeps its strained quality intact. You can download it now via digital outlets.

The original “Flames” appears on Mod’s new album, Internet Killed the Rockstar, which dropped in February. It currently sits in the top 25 on Billboard‘s Alternative Airplay chart.

Last month, Mod Sun released a new song called “Heavy,” in collaboration with blackbear.
