Dashboard Confessional is putting a spin on “Blue Christmas.”

Chris Carrabba‘s band put a hushed veneer over the holiday classic, which was most famously performed by Elvis. You can listen to it the cover now via Spotify’s Spotify Singles series.

“I’ve always loved Christmas songs and I’ve always loved Elvis,” Carrabba says in a statement. “What better choice could I have made for our Spotify Single than ‘Blue Christmas’? We delved into some seriously dreamy territory for our take on this classic Christmas song.”

Dashboard’s most recent album is 2018’s Crooked Shadows. The band has spent 2020 looking back with a reissue campaign focused on their early albums.
