HAIM is celebrating the coming end to the year that’s been 2020 with an updated rendition of The Waitresses‘ “Christmas Wrapping.”
For their version of the ’80s holiday classic, the sister trio teamed up with Jeremy O. Harris, writer of the acclaimed Broadway play Slave Play, to write new lyrics specific for 2020, all set to the song’s catchy bassline.
“Spent too many days this year on TikTok, drinking wine, and weeping,” HAIM sings. You can listen to “Christmas Wrapping 2020” — subtitled “All I Want for Christmas Is a Vaccine — streaming now on YouTube.
HAIM released their new album Women in Music Pt. III this past June. It’s nominated for Album of the Year for the 2021 Grammys.
You can also hear HAIM on Taylor Swift‘s new song “no body, no crime.”
