Hayley Williams has shared a cover of the Radiohead song “Fake Plastic Trees.”

The Paramore frontwoman recorded the performance as part of her series of “self-serenades,” which has included a variety of acoustic covers and renditions on her own songs amid the COVID-19 pandemic. As Williams explains in an Instagram post, the “Fake Plastic Trees” cover is the last self-serenade “for a while.”

“The top requested song throughout my brief career in self-serenadism has been a @Radiohead song,” Williams says. “Seemed sacrilegious at first until i realized that the band themselves have never once regarded what they do as precious or never-to-be-toyed with. They are never beholden to any one version of their expression and public affections don’t seem to sway them.”

Past Williams self-serenades include a cover of the Björk song “Unison,” and an acoustic version of “Simmer,” the lead single off Williams’ debut solo album, Petals for Armor, which dropped in May.
