Bishop Briggs has released a new song called “Walk You Home.”
The track, which Briggs co-wrote with frequent collaborator K.Flay, is the second fresh tune from the “River” singer this month, following the single “Higher.”
“‘Walk You Home’ is an energetic, heart racing, high intensity song that came from a place of heaviness,” Bishop says. “I think there can be a thick layer of denial when we end a relationship in our life. We feel that this ending will cause that person to vanish from our memory. We pray their name won’t live in our minds as we close our eyes to sleep.”
“But, the reality is it can take a long time to release the energy you set aside for this person,” she adds. “The anxiety-fueled care that led me to losing myself in it all still creeps in when I least expect it, even when I’m writing a song like this one.”
You can download “Walk You Home” now via digital outlets.
Bishop released her latest album, her sophomore effort Champion, in 2019. More recently, she released a cover of Queen‘s “We Will Rock You” this past August for the cosmetic brand Make Up For Ever’s Rouge Artist campaign.
