The National frontman Matt Berninger is following in the footsteps of The Beatles and The Replacements with a new song called “Let It Be.”

“This is a new song about an old frenemy,” Berninger says of the solo track. “Not Paul McCartney or Westerberg.”

You can download Berninger’s “Let It Be” now via digital outlets.

“Let It Be” will be included in the upcoming digital deluxe version of Berninger’s debut solo album Serpentine Prison, which is due out March 12. The original record was released last October.
