Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has released a new solo song called “5.17.”
According to Pitchfork, the track was recorded for the final season of the beloved British crime drama Peaky Blinders, which premiered last month. Peaky Blinders director Anthony Byrne previously told NME that Yorke and Radiohead band mate Jonny Greenwood had “contributed some original stuff” to the show in honor of its farewell.
“5.17” is available now via digital outlets. According to a listing on Apple Music, “5.17” will be accompanied by another new Yorke tune called “That’s How Horses Are,” due out April 3.
Peaky Blinders viewers have previously heard the Radiohead tracks “You and Whose Army?” and “Pyramid Song” on the show. Its soundtrack also includes songs by The White Stripes and Jack White, Dan Auerbach, Royal Blood, PJ Harvey, Arctic Monkeys, Queens of the Stone Age, Foals, Black Sabbath and Joy Division.
