Josh Homme is a poet, and he does, in fact, know it.

On his Instagram, the Queens of the Stone Age frontman has shared audio recordings of three poems he wrote: “Where the Fog Begins,” “Glass Cars” and “I’m Perfect.”

As Homme explains, he recorded the readings back in November 2015, when he was feeling sick

“I was ill, stuck in bed & feeling restless; however, there was bright side,” Homme recalls. “It had transformed my voice by lowering it. Making me sound like a radio performer for almost an entire day. I seized the baritone opportunity & did readings of a handful of poems I’d written.”

Of note: two lines from “Where the Fog Begins” are featured in the Queens song “Head Like a Haunted House,” a cut off the bands most recent album, 2017’s Villains.
