Rise Against frontman Tim McIlrath and Bad Religion guitarist Brian Baker guest on a new song called “The Fight of Our Lives” from long-running punk band Anti-Flag.
“To us, this song is a unique demonstration of the power of community,” Anti-Flag says in a statement. “Bringing in Tim and Brian was just to drive the nail home that this s*** takes all of us.”
“We are truly in the fight of our lives,” the group adds. “It’s a time to stand up and be counted. We are at a historic tipping point in human civilization where we can swing towards peace, empathy, optimism, justice, and human rights for all, or we can swing towards more of this ominous rising tide which has already brought so much inequality, pain and death.”
You can listen to “The Fight of Our Lives” now via digital outlets. The song is also accompanied by a video featuring protest footage demonstrating against gun violence and police brutality, among other issues, which is streaming now on YouTube.
“The Fight of Our Lives” will appear on the upcoming Anti-Flag album Lies They Tell Our Children, due out January 6, 2023. The record also includes a guest spot from Killswitch Engage frontman Jesse Leach.
