Tom DeLonge and Angels & Airwaves have teamed up with producer and DJ Illenium for a new song called “Paper Thin.”

In a statement, the former Blink-182 guitarist says he was “flattered” when Illenium approached him for the song.

“Electronic music has been prevalent in Angels & Airwaves’ sound since the beginning, so it felt like a very natural collaboration,” DeLonge says. “It was a lot of fun to work with somebody on something so progressive and different than what I’m used to.”

You can listen to “Paper Thin” now via digital outlets.

Illenium has previously collaborated with artists including X Ambassadors and I Prevail. He scored a top-three hit on Billboard‘s Alternative Airplay chart with “Good Things Fall Apart,” featuring Jon Bellion, which was also remixed by Blink-182’s Travis Barker.

DeLonge, meanwhile, has been working on new Angels & Airwaves music — the band dropped a single called “All That’s Left Is Love” in April. He’s also making his directorial debut with the film Monsters of California, which is currently in production.
