Machine Gun Kelly and Coldplay won the Alternative and Rock categories for the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards, which took place Sunday night.

Kelly’s Megan Fox-starring “Bloody Valentine” clip took home the Best Alternative prize, beating out fellow nominees Twenty One Pilots’ “Level of Concern,” The 1975‘s “If You’re Too Shy (Let Me Know),” All Time Low‘s “Some Kind of Disaster,” Finneas‘ “Let’s Fall in Love for the Night,” and Lana Del Rey‘s “Doin’ Time.”

Meanwhile, Coldplay’s “Orphans” video was awarded Best Rock. The other nominees were Evanescence‘s “Wasted on You,” Blink-182‘s “Happy Days,” Fall Out Boy‘s “Dear Future Self” feat. Wyclef Jean, Green Day‘s “Oh Yeah!” and The Killers‘ “Caution.”

Billie Eilish was nominated for six categories, including Video and Song of the Year, but didn’t win any awards.

Machine Gun Kelly’s win marks his first ever VMA. Coldplay has previously won six VMAs.
