Marilyn Manson has agreed to turn himself in response to an arrest warrant issued by Gilford Police Department in New Hampshire over two counts of Class A misdemeanor Simple Assault.

According to ABC New Hampshire affiliate WMUR, Manson, born Brian Warner, will turn himself over to the Los Angeles Police Department, as part of an agreement with the Gilford PD.

The arrest warrant, which was reported in May, stems from an alleged incident in the pit during a 2019 Marilyn Manson show at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion, during which the musician is accused of spitting on a videographer.

At the time news of the warrant broke, Warner’s lawyer told Pitchfork, “This misdemeanor claim was pursued after we received a demand from a venue videographer for more than $35,000 after a small amount of spit came into contact with their arm.”

“After we asked for evidence of any alleged damages, we never received a reply,” the statement continues. “This whole claim is ludicrous, but we remain committed to cooperating with authorities, as we have done throughout.”

The Gilford PD police chief denies that the warrant is financially motivated, and says the alleged victim filed a report the day after the 2019 concert.

Warner, meanwhile, has been embroiled in personal and legal issues over the past few months after several women came forward accusing him of abuse and sexual assault, including ex-girlfriends Evan Rachel Wood and Esmé Bianco, the latter of whom has filed a lawsuit against him. Warner’s lawyer claims Bianco’s allegations are “provably false.”

Wood, who long spoke about her experience with sexual abuse before finally naming Warner this past February, wrote that he “horrifically abused [her] for years.” Warner has denied those claims as “horrible distortions of reality.”
