Members of Foo Fighters, Slipknot & Jane's Addiction playing together for David Bowie tribute stream

Members of Foo Fighters, Slipknot and Jane’s Addiction are joining forces to pay tribute to David Bowie.

Foo drummer Taylor Hawkins, Knot frontman Corey Taylor, and Jane’s guitarist Dave Navarro and bassist Chris Chaney will play together as a band called Ground Control during A Bowie Celebration: Just for One Day!, an upcoming streaming concert honoring the late “Life on Mars?” icon.

The Pretty RecklessTaylor Momsen has also joined the lineup, along with ’80s pop star Boy George and actor Ricky Gervais.

Previously announced artists on the bill, which was curated by longtime Bowie pianist Mike Garson, include Nine Inch NailsTrent Reznor, The Smashing PumpkinsBilly Corgan, Def Leppard‘s Joe Elliott, Bush‘s Gavin Rossdale, Peter Frampton, Halestorm‘s Lzzy HaleYungblud, Mott the Hoople‘s Ian Hunter, Jane’s’ Perry Farrell, and ex-Yes keyboardist Rick Wakeman, among many others.

Additionally, viral music prodigy/Dave Grohl drum battle victor Nandi Bushell will make a special appearance during the stream.

Just for One Day! will air this Friday, January 8, marking what would’ve been Bowie’s 74th birthday. The stream will also commemorate the fifth anniversary of Bowie’s death on January 10, 2016.
