Muse‘s live band has a new member.
Multi-instrumentalist Dan Lancaster made his debut with the U.K. trio during their two concerts in London this week.
“Amazing couple of nights playing with @muse,” Lancaster tweeted Wednesday along with some photos from the shows. “Thank you everyone! Looking forward to summer.”
Prior to joining them onstage, Lancaster collaborated with Muse as the mixer on their new single, “Won’t Stand Down.” He’s also worked frequently with Bring Me the Horizon, having mixed their albums That’s the Spirit and Amo, as well as their 2020 single “Parasite Eve,” and was a mixer on Blink-182′s 2016 album, California.
Horizon keyboardist Jordan Fish congratulated Lancaster on his new gig in an Instagram Story captioned, “I feel like a proud dad.”
As for that summer Lancaster is looking forward to, Muse will play a number of European tour dates in June and July. The band’s new album, Will of the People, featuring “Won’t Stand Down” and the song “Compliance,” arrives August 26.
