ASU led team developing a speed loop that takes you up to 750mph!

MESA - Mar. 31, 2017 - ASU Now - AZLoop - Lynne Nethken, a mechanical engineering graduate student talks through video chat with students from Prescott's Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University following the announcement that AZLoop is one of 24 finalist teams selected from a field of 1300 entries in SpaceX's Hyperloop Pod Competition, Friday, Mar. 31, 2017, on ASU's Polytechnic campus. Hyperloop is a high-speed transportation system that sends pods through a tube at speeds of up to 700 miles per hour. An ASU lead team just advanced in the SpaceX hyperloop competition. They’re attemping to create a futuristic transit system, kinda like a Hot Wheels speed loop, that could hit up to 750mph! Ultimately, it would result in users getting from Phx to San Diego in less time than it takes you to finish an episode of COSMOS 😀
