New Jerry Cantrell solo music is on the way.

In an Instagram post Friday, the Alice in Chains vocalist/guitarist revealed that his long-awaited third solo album is now “finished.”

“Finished my record tonight one year to the day from when we started recording it,” Cantrell wrote in the caption. “What a crazy journey…always is.”

The grunge rocker didn’t share when the upcoming record will be released, but did add that he “look[s] forward to setting it free upon your ear holes sometime soon.”

Cantrell hasn’t released a solo album since 2002’s Degradation Trip.

Alice in Chains, meanwhile, released their latest record, Rainier Fog, in 2018.
