ODESZA has announced a new album called The Last Goodbye.
The fourth studio effort from the “Line of Sight” duo — and first since 2017’s A Moment Apart — will arrive July 22.
“Over the past few years we’ve been able to reflect on who we are, what it means to do what we do, and in the end, who we are doing this for,” ODESZA says.
“We became focused and inspired by the impact our families and friends have imprinted on us, and how we want to continue to echo that out as we move through this life,” the band adds. “We found comfort in the fact that those who we love stay with us, that they become intrinsically part of us, in a way.”
The Last Goodbye features the previously released title track, featuring soul and blues singer Bettye LaVette, and the song “Better Now,” featuring Portuguese musician MARO. A third cut, “Love Letter” featuring frequent Foster the People collaborators The Knocks, is out today.
ODESZA will play a trio of hometown concerts in Seattle this July in support of The Last Goodbye.
