Dave Matthews Band has added several shows to their upcoming tour, and you could be on their way to one of those shows for free — if you help them plant a tree.

The band is on a mission to plant a million trees, so they’ve launched a contest via Prizeo.  Each donation of $10 — which will go to the Nature Conservancy, via the band’s own Bama Works Fund — will plant five trees and earn you one entry. $50 plants 25 trees and gets you more entries, and so on.

The grand prize is a trip for two to New York City, where you’ll see DMB at Madison Square Garden and get a meet-and-greet with Dave. Hotel and airfare are included.

DMB is also adding an optional $2 to their ticket price, which will go to the Nature Conservancy’s Plant a Billion Campaign.  In addition, the band plans to support carbon reduction projects during the tour to neutralize both their own carbon footprint and that of their fans, who generate carbon emissions by traveling to the shows.

The newly announced shows are at Madison Square Garden on November 12 and 13, plus a November 5 show in Columbus, OH.  An online ticket presale for members of the DMB Warehouse Fan Association starts Tuesday, July 20 at 9 a.m. ET and runs through July 26 at 3 p.m. ET.  The general on-sale is Friday, July 30 at 10 a.m. ET.
